Escentric 05 by Escentric Molecules is a fragrance for women and men. Escentric 05 was launched in 2020. The nose behind this fragrance is Geza Schoen. Top notes are Juniper, Bergamot, Rosemary, Laurels, Orange, Basil, Fig Leaf and Fig; middle notes are Cypress, Hedione, Iris, Jasmine and Freesia; base notes are Iso E Super, Cashmeran, Ambroxan, Musk, Mastic or Lentisque and Labdanum.

Molecule 05 consists of Cashmeran, pure and singular.

Cashmeran is one of the greats of synthetic chemistry. Warm and woody, with a resinous pine note, it has an unusually complex character for a single molecule. It combines cocooning, musky softness, dry, aromatic woodiness, and a sweet resinous pine note. 

"Molecule 05 is a minimalist sketch of summer," says Geza Schoen. "As you would expect with a name like Cashmeran, it's warm and caressing. For me, it evokes the sensuousness of summer.

Cashmeran is both woody and musky. Already, that's rare. But that's not all. It's complex and multi-faceted, almost like a whole fragrance in one molecule. How can something be dry and creamy at the same time? It's a paradox. It has the dry quality typical of woods, but also a creamy aura that makes you want to nuzzle into it.

What really pumps up the summer feeling for me is the pine note in the molecule. We tend to think of the clean, high smell of the needles when we think of pine. But the pine note in Cashmeran is different. It's the scent of pine wood. It even has something else. A fruity note. Cashmeran is one of those mysterious molecules that is hard to put into words. "

Escentric 01 by Escentric Molecules is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for women and men. Escentric 01 was launched in 2006. The nose behind this fragrance is Geza Schoen.

Escentric 01 celebrates the hyper-abstraction of Iso E Super. 

Cocooning, woody and inexplicably addictive, Iso E Super is a molecule that hovers close to the skin to create an indefinable aura around the wearer. 

Iso E Super does not exist in nature and was created in a laboratory at the IFF in 1973.
 
Geza Schoen created Escentric 01 as an invitation to defy convention and challenge imposed rules. Escentric 01 focuses on Iso E Super at 65% of the fragrance compound in an abbreviated formula designed to maximise the molecule's efflorescence.

Escentric 01 100ml has a huge chunk of Iso E Super at 65%. At that concentration, the effect of the aroma-molecule is just as magnetic and cocooning as in our lauded Molecule 01. The difference is that here, a tight edit of 18 ingredients is used to lift and amplify the super molecule's fresh and sensual aspects.

Escentric 01 opens with lime peel and pink pepper, with hedione (green jasmine bud) and orris in the heart amplified by balsamic notes and fresh musk, producing a seriously lingering base note. 

"With Escentric 01, I made the scent that I would want to wear myself," says Geza Schoen, "I wanted to create something unconventional, not too perfumistic, something for my friends who said they didn't like fragrance." 

This magic love potion inside this vessel presents a whole gamut of differences in how people experience it. A fragrance liberated from preconceptions of identity and form. Escentric 01 100ml induces individuality and eschews boring fragrance fanfare. 

As GQ's Adam Hurly put it, "Unlike many other scents — the ones I'm usually testing, even the good ones — Escentric 01 is a scent you get to wear instead of letting them wear you.

Escentric 02 together with Molecule 02 represents the second completely synthetic fragrance pair, launched by Escentric Molecules. This time it was inspired by the basic scented component of grey amber, ambroxan. It is placen in the centre. The rest of the composition, just like in Escentric 01, is composed out of artful copies of the natural ingredients: a scent identical to the real musk - muscone, beautiful hedione (smells like jasmine), elderflower extract and orris. The fragrance is light with a shining and brisk opening (elderflower and hedoine) and a pleasantly warm finish. Read more about ambroxan here. The perfume was launched in 2008.

Escentric 02 explores the many faces of perfume's most prized aroma-molecule, cloaking its wearers in an air of romance and enigma. 
 
Escentric 02 100ml is centred on the elusive power of nature-identical Ambroxan (13.5%), a sensual amber molecule with almost mineral smoothness, together with the aphrodisiac notes of green jasmine bud and a sparkling 'gin and tonic' accord, a hint of Almdudler, and "that specific smell you get when you unwrap a new Apple laptop".
 
Ambroxan is a crystal-chemical structure identical to the ambrox derived from ambergris. For centuries, ambergris has been one of the most prized ingredients in perfumery. It is a somewhat mysterious substance expelled by the cachalot or sperm whale, which only attains its fine scent after a long maturation floating in the ocean. 

Ambergris is rarely found these days, and the 'amber' in a modern fragrance will be a lab-created equivalent of some of the aroma-molecules that make up its scent. The finest of these by far is the nature-identical molecule Ambroxan, synthesised from materials of plant origin by chemists at Firmenich in 1950.

Different in tone from other animal ingredients, ambergris has always been valued for its refinement as well as its sensuality. These qualities persist in Ambroxan. 

Geza Schoen describes the final effect as a "super long-lasting freshness into the drydown, with a subtle sensuality". This fragrance is the olfactory equivalent of a warm, love-fuelled weekend. 

While Molecule 02 zeroes in on the aroma-molecule, in Escentric 02 100ml, "Ambroxan takes a back seat, providing a touch of sweetness, but for the most part, it just provides power, driving the fragrance up into the air in a whoosh of marine-like muskiness,  giving that aura-like quality." says Thomas Dunckley, an award-winning fragrance expert of The Candy Perfume Boy. "It's blissful".

Molecule 01 + Mandarin by Escentric Molecules is a Citrus fragrance for women and men. Molecule 01 + Mandarin was launched in 2021. The nose behind this fragrance is Geza Schoen.

The most minimal fragrance is a single aroma-molecule: Molecule 01. The next most minimal adds 1 to 01: 01 + 1. This is Molecule +.
